Voxtell's VoIP Speed Test

Let's ensure you have a strong download and upload rate.

Understanding your VoIP speed results

The speed of your internet will impact the quality of your phone calls; the faster the speed, the more simultaneous calls your business can make; the slower the speed, the worse the quality of your calls will be, and the fewer calls your teams will be able to make at once.

Download

Download speed refers to how many megabits of data per second it takes to download data from a server in the form of images, videos, text, files, and audio. Larger numbers are better.

Upload

Upload speed refers to how many megabits of data per second you can send information from your computer to another device or server on the internet. Larger numbers are better.

Jitter & Ping

The rule of thumb is to see Jitter as low as possible when 10ms is too much. You also want to see Ping as low as possible, when 100ms is too much.

Simultaneous calls

The rule of thumb is 1 Mbps per user per concurrent call in both directions.
